Courses for tourists

Spanish Courses

Our tourist course is perfect if you want to 'pick up the lingo' in order to understand basic transactions and conversations in Spanish.

The course focuses primarily on speaking and listening skills, and covers the following topics:

  • Greetings, short conversations and goodbyes,
  • At the hotel,
  • Transportation in Guadalajara and beyond,
  • At the shops,
  • Eating out,
  • Using the ATM machines and banks,
  • In case of accidents,
  • Buying souvenirs,At the airport.


During your stay we strongly recommend that you take advantage of our host family arrangements in order to make the most of your learning experience.

SUMMARY OF HOMESTAY:

  • Bedroom and bathroom
  • Sheets and clean towels
  • 3 homemade meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  • The opportunity to make friends with local people and practice your Spanish


OPTIONAL EXTRAS (additional costs):

  • A 4-hour tour of Guadalajara's Historical Center, Tlaquepaque or Tonala for a truly Mexican shopping experience. One of our teachers will guide you around the area in Spanish and/or English. These tours offer unique opportunities to practice your Spanish skills in real situations with a teacher present to help you and your group.
  • Collection from the airport and to be taken to your host family.
  • Transportation to and from the classes by taxi.
  • Laundry Services.


Private, Semi-private or Group Classes?
Private classes:

  • Private classes are the fastest and most effective way to learn.
  • Our one-to-one courses have flexible timetables to suit your needs.
  • Your syllabus will be personalized to your aims and objectives (grammar, vocabulary, role plays, etc.)


Semi-private classes: (2 people)

  • The semi-private classes are a fun way to study with a partner or a friend.
  • This is a faster way to learn than in a group of 3 or more people, but with a little less pressure.
  • Semi-private classes are timetabled at the school's discretion.


Group classes: (3-6 people)

  • Our group classes are very small, with a strict maximum of 6 people.
  • Only people of the same level can study in the same class.
  • Group classes are timetabled at the school's discretion.


COSTS - (conversion currency chart)We do not charge a registration fee on arrival and there are no hidden costs.

Private classes: US $16.00 per hour
15 hours tuition per week US $240.00
5 hours tuition for one day US $80.00

Semi-private classes: US $11.00 per hour
15 hours tuition per week US $165.00
5 hours tuition for one day US $55.00

Group classes: US $8.00 per hour
15 hours tuition per week US $120.00
3 hours tuition for one day US $ 40.00

Homestay costs:
US $100.00 for 7 evenings (includes three meals per day: breakfast, lunch & dinner.)
US $15.00 per night extra (includes three meals per day: breakfast lunch & dinner.)

Transportation to classes by taxi everyday approx. US $25.00 per week

Students are responsible for buying their own travel and health insurance.
